The winner of our Eco-Audit competition from last year’s Autumn issue was Penny Brown of Petersfield. At the end of November the editorial team descended upon her home to do a thorough inspection of her green credentials!

The avenues of London Plane and Horse Chestnut trees on Jesus Green were planted over 100 years ago.
Paradise Local Nature Reserve is home to Butterbur, a plant species first recorded 400 years ago, and which has been used by Native Americans to treat headaches for centuries.

Wildlife expert Iain Webb of the Cambridge City Greenways Project has produced a wildlife trail leaflet to guide walkers from Barnwell East Nature Reserve to West Pit SSSI in Cherry Hinton.
